Student Advertising Projects

This is a sample of just some of the projects I created or was dominate contributer in during my time at Rowan University. Please acknowledge that these were student projects so any images or logos not paid for are under fair use.

HOSPITALity

This project was inspired by the many hours I spent in hospitals with my ailing parents and grandparents. I saw the value in having a companion/advocate at your bedside. The campaign promotes this fictional app to a working audience with aging family.

South Street Art Mart

In trying to find a client for my Practicum class I felt we could be more creative if we stepped away from the typical restaurant. South Street Art Mart was a pop-up on the way to becoming a real store. We created a social media heavy campaign that retained the artistic feel of the store.

American Pie Cafe

Have you ever dreamed up your perfect restaurant or cafe? This is mine. For my inDesign class I dreamed up the perfect city lunch and post work hang out. To create the right kind of media I fully envisioned America Pie Cafe. During the day it is a coffee shop that specializes in sweet and savory pies. At night the bar opens to combine bartender and barista skills. What makes it unique is its local music theme. Each booth would have a digital jukebox of local artists and directional speakers so only those at your table could hear the music. There would also be a small stage area with tables around it for locals artist to play.

Galaxy’s Edge Final Project

The video below is a mock-up of a Pop-Up event I created to promote Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. In using techniques from exhibit design common in trade shows, museums and theme parks it is possible to create memorable experiences. This style of advertising is a personal favorite. Creating an experience allows clients to promote and sell products and services in an interactive and engaging way.

This project was created in Home Design 3D, but I can create using AutoCAD. It was designed as a portable pop-up experience. The entry’s galactic design separates the world you left for the SW Galaxy’s Edge mini market place. The first station on your right contains samples of Outpost Popcorn and Blue Milk. The second booth explains the interactive experience and how you can use your phone to enhance the action. The back will have a photo op and brochures about Galaxy’s Edge and Disney. On the left are examples of the droids and lightsabers and other toys and gadgets. On the way out is a merch/cosplay stand with samples of some of the fashions available at the parks and a few items for sale.
